CENTER OSSIPEE – Agnes W. Merrow, 92, passed away Sunday morning, July 31, 2016 at her home, with her family by her side after a period of failing health.

Born May 16, 1924 in Milton, NH, Agnes was one of eight children born to Charles and Lilla Williams.  Growing up on Turkey Street in Tamworth, NH, she graduated from Tamworth High School in 1942.

Earl T. Merrow, Jr. captured her heart and they were married in 1948.  They had one child, Mark in 1959.  Throughout their married life, “Jr.” and Agnes lived in Center Ossipee but spent most of their time at the home Jr. built on Moultonville Road.

Agnes is survived by her grandchildren Joshua Merrow and his partner Jessica Arsenault of Wolfeboro, NH and Alison Merrow van Gelder and her husband Jacob of Alton, NH and five great grandchildren, Kylei, Elliott, Hayden, Emma and Garrett.  She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Saylee Downing Merrow, Acton, ME, her sisters Mildred Hobbs of Tamworth, NH,  Frances Brownell and her husband Lawrence of Center Ossipee, NH and brother Paul Williams and his wife Martha of Tamworth, NH.

Agnes was pre-deceased by her husband Earl T. Merrow, Jr. and her son Mark E. Merrow as well as her siblings…Charles Williams, Richard Williams, Beverly Ames and Robert Williams.

Her family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the outstanding care she received during these last few months.  Agnes’s wish was to remain in her home and through the dedication of her team of nurses, that wish was fulfilled.  Amy, Mary, Darlene, Lynn, Karen, Paula, Kim, Wendy, Melissa and Colleen – we are eternally grateful for the care, compassion and love you showed Agnes.

Agnes will be laid to rest between her husband and her son in the Merrow Family Plot at the Grant Hill Cemetery in Center Ossipee, NH.  The graveside service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 3pm followed by a reception at her home, 174 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Moultonville Methodist Church in Center Ossipee or the charity of your choice
