Arnold G. Lord, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2017 at his daughter’s home in Wolfeboro, surrounded by his loving family.

Arnold was a native and life-long resident of Wolfeboro, born on Valentine’s Day in 1927 the son of the late Andrew and Blanche Lord.  He was the eldest of two boys.  He left high school at the age of 17 to join the US Navy where he served as a plumber and electrician from 1946 to 1954.

On September 25th 1949 he married Rebecca Corson and together they raised their two children and began a plumbing and electrical business which he operated for 61 years.  He was well known to the community.

After the death of his wife of 44 years, Rebecca, Arnold met and married Anna and spent their remaining 23 years together before her death, almost 24 hours prior, on December 10th, 2017.

Arnold was very active in community organizations.  He was a proud member of the Wolfeboro Grange; Order of the Eastern Star; a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge in Wolfeboro, NH; a 40 year member of the Grand Lodge of NH, F&AM; a life member of the SIMADI Shrine Club; a member of the Bektash Temple, Scottish Rite, Temple Chapter #20, Orient Council #14, the Palestine Knight Templar; International Order of Odd Fellows, ( I.O.O.F.) and a Life Time member of the NH Fish & Game Department and he was also a member of the  American Legion and many other organizations.

He is survived by his loving daughter Gloria Bean and her husband Leon, Wolfeboro, NH, and his grandchildren Richard Lord, Mike Lord, Sara Libby, Christine Flynn, Shelly Lord, and James Lord as well as his great grandchildren Skyler, Lacey, Nevaeh, Connor, Alexis, Bella, Connor, Alana, Mia and Jeremy.

He was a staple to the community and his great grandchildren who will always have fond memories of their “Grampa Peanut”.

There will be no calling hours.  Memorial Services will be 2:00pm Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the First Christian Church, North Main Street, Wolfeboro, NH.  A burial will be planned for later in the spring at the Lakeview Cemetery, Wolfeboro, NH.  A reception will follow the service at the Masonic Temple, Trotting Tract Road, Wolfeboro, NH.
