Barbara V. Robbins, 98 of Wentworth Senior Living and formerly Freedom, NH, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from a recent illness.

She was born May 26, 1919 in Portsmouth, NH.  Her family includes a daughter Barbara  McKechnie, York, ME, a son Stephen (Jessica) Robbins, Freedom, NH, a daughter, Pamela (Daniel) Gammons Jacksonville, FL,  sister Ronnie Andrews of East Haddam, CT. Grandchildren Heather (Mark) Adamske, Garrett McKechnie (Andy Campbell) , Emily Plumer, Ryan (Ashley) Robbins, Kristen (Sean) McLeskey, and Melissa (Ashden) Haase. Great  grandchildren Jack, Sarah, Emma, Raegan, McKinley, Jacob and Isabel, many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Barbara was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Lt. Col. Stephen L. Robbins, a sister Irene Kondrat (James), Kathy Kondrat, Robert Andrews and Robert McKechnie. 

Barbara traveled the country living on many Army bases with her husband and children. She retired in Freedom, NH on the shores of Ossipee Lake. She spent countless hours volunteering for the town. Barbara was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her drive to live life always moving forward is a guide we will always cherish.

Her Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 10:00am, at the Immaculate Conception Church, 98 Summer Street, Portsmouth, NH.  Interment will follow in the spring.
