Don W. Tenney, 74, of Wolfeboro NH passed away suddenly on Monday, February 13, 2017. He was born on November 12, 1942 to Thomas J. Tenney and Florence Merrinar Tenney. He was born the youngest of 13 children in Philippi, West Virginia. At the age of 12 he started working in a Coal Mine along with helping on his parent’s 250-acre farm.  As an adult, he moved to Massachusetts where he met his wife of 45 years.

 Don married his late wife Marilyn R Channin Tenney on December 5, 1964 In Grafton Massachusetts.  They moved to Ossipee, New Hampshire to raise their three children.

Don was mechanic for most of his adult life. He took a job as a truck driver once their children were grown. Marilyn joined him as they traveled the country. They both enjoyed being on the open road. After they retired, Don and his wife enjoyed being home and doing craft projects and gardening. They also very much enjoyed sitting down and playing card games with their family and friends. Don was known for his sense of humor and his ability to create something out of nothing.

Don leaves behind his three children Don W Tenney Jr of Arizona, Sandra Tenney of Conway NH and Michael W. Tenney Sr. and his wife Heather Tenney of Tuftonboro NH, granddaughter Nicole Tenney of Tuftonboro NH, grandson Michael W. Tenney Jr. of Concord NH and Michael Jr’s fiancée Emily Russell of Concord NH.

There will be no calling hours.  Funeral services will be private.
