Edwin D. Thomas, 75, of Tamworth Road, passed away Wednesday August 10, 2016 at his home.  He was born March 9, 1941 in Stoneham, MA the son of the late Donald E and Dorothy (Botts) Thomas and had lived in Melvin Village, NH for most of his life.  Edwin and his wife had also lived in Dunnellon, FL for several years and most recently moved to Tamworth, NH.

He had worked as a mechanic for Thomas Chain Saw and Marina which was a family business in Melvin Village for 10 years and had later worked as a self-employed painting contractor.

Edwin was a former member and President of the Wolfeboro Snowmobile Club, Wolfeboro, NH.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years June (Meyer) Thomas, Effingham, NH, two sons Edwin D. Thomas II, Brooklyn, NY; James D. Thomas, Acton, ME and his daughter Kelly J. Wilson, Effingham, NH, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Friday, August 19, 2016 from 6-8PM at Lord Funeral Home, Wolfeboro, NH.  Funeral services will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00am at the Melvin Village Community Church, Melvin Village, NH.  Burial will be in the Melvin Village Cemetery following the funeral service.
