Gail M (McKee) Bird, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Genesis Wolfeboro Bay Care Center after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  Gail was born November7, 1938 in Claremont, NH the daughter of the late W. Frederick McKee and Cynthia (Weed) McKee.

She grew up in Claremont and graduated from Claremont High School.  She married Edward (Ed) Bird in August of 1961.  She loved music, cooking and most of all, family gatherings.  She studied music at Oberlin Conservatory and UNH.  Gail taught piano, directed church choirs and taught pre-school music classes.

Gail is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward; two sons, Gregory Bird and his wife Beth (St. Laurent) Bird of Laconia, NH, and Christopher Bird and his wife Tracy (Hovey) Bird of Mooresville, NC; three grandchildren, Brendan Bird, Nashville, TN, Brianna Bird of NC and Megan (Bird) Rouser and her husband Beonville Bird of Alamogordo, NM; great grandchildren Raelyn Elizagail Rouser; a brother, Charles (Chuck) McKee and his wife Linda of Ft. Myers, FL.

There will be no funeral services or viewings.  The family will hold a private gathering at a time to be determined.
