Gilbert W. Klein, 89, of Center Sandwich, New Hampshire passed away Thursday February 1, 2018 at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.

He was born on April 28, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Thomas and Josephine (Tomlinson) Klein.

Gilbert was a graduate of The Haverford School and Haverford College, both located in Haverford, Pennsylvania.

Gilbert was a Sargent in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later would work as a Plant Manager for Scott Paper Company in Chester, Pennsylvania for 39 years.

He was predeceased by his wife Marybelle Ziesing Klein and is survived by two sons: Gilbert W. Klein, Jr., daughter in-law Jennifer, three grandchildren Peyton, Justis and Averey of Casco, Maine and Thomas H. Klein and Douglas Cowles of Center Sandwich, New Hampshire.

There will be no calling hours or services at this time.

A memorial gathering with Military Honors will take place sometime in the summer in New Hampshire.
