Janet Marie Chabot, age 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home in Wolfeboro, NH.  Janet was born July 27, 1950 in Dover, New Hampshire, the daughter of Robert and Doris Arbour.  Janet attended Dover schools and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School.

She married the love of her life, Martin G. (Marty) Chabot in 1969 and they resided in Somersworth, NH for many years before retiring in Wolfeboro.  Janet worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance for thirty years before retiring and helping raise her five beloved grandchildren. 

Janet's greatest love was her family...to the moon and back.  She taught both of her daughters and four out of five of her grandchildren how to swim at "Mimi and Papa's pool."  She enjoyed boating with her family on Lake Winnipesaukee and never missed a school concert, play, unicycle demonstration or sporting event.  Janet had the biggest heart and was such a kind, loving and gentle soul.  She took such pride in all of her children and grandchildren's accomplishments.  Janet endured illness for many years and is now free and at peace. 

Janet is preceded in death by her parents and her loving Uncle Albert and Aunt Jeannette Butler.  She is survived by her husband Marty; daughters Caryn and husband Shawn Barry; Amy and husband Michael Allard; grandchildren Marissa and Alison Barry and Samuel, Lucas and Madeleine Allard; brother Richard and wife Barbie.  

Calling hours will be held at Lord Funeral Home, Wolfeboro, NH on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 6-8 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Rt. 28, Alton, NH at 10:00am on Friday, January 13, 2017.  Graveside services will be held at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH at 1:15pm.
