Wolfeboro - Joanne Price 89, formerly of Crescent Dr., passed away at Catholic Medical Center on Tuesday morning November 15, 2016 with her son Dave and daughter Linda by her side. She was born on July 11, 1927 in Montclair, NJ, daughter of Milton & Hazel Dedrick. She grew up in New Jersey, but also lived in Florida, North Carolina and has been a resident of New Hampshire for the last 30 years.  

Joanne was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dear friend Lyle Cheney.  She loved playing card games and enjoyed knitting and crocheting hats, mittens and scarfs for the Melvin Village Community Church & the Huggins Hospital craft fairs and for newborns at Huggins Hospital. 

Joanne is survived by her 3 children Joy Vierra of Milford, PA, Linda Heilig of Parsonsfield, ME and David Dath of Meredith, NH, her brother Thomas Dedrick of NJ, 5 grandchildren: Erika Heilig, Jeremiah Heilig, Jerad Dath, Sheila DiPaolo and Ariel Dath, 6 great-grandchildren and a niece & nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Price and sisters Carol Borthwick and Doris “Scottie" Edwards.

A memorial service will be held at the Melvin Village Community Church, where she was a long time member, on Saturday November 26, 2016 at 11 AM.  Please join Joanne’s family in celebrating her life.  Refreshments will follow the service.  If you would like to bring a refreshment, please contact Nancy Hirshberg at nancy@nhirshberg.com.
