MADISON - Our mom, Joyce Annette Richardson of Silver Lake, with her family by her side, went peacefully to be with God and her beloved husband Frank on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Memorial Hospital, North Conway, NH, where she was born 81 years ago. She was the daughter of Sam and Susie Lyman, and grew up in Silver Lake, the second of ten children.

Our mom worked for the town of Madison for 28 years as secretary to the Selectmen and later as assistant Town Clerk. She was a valued member of the Madison Church. She taught and co-led the Sunday School program for many years, and enjoyed the time she spent as a member of the Philathea Women’s group. She ran a daycare in her home with her daughter Tammy where she developed long lasting relationships with many of the kids she loved and helped to raise. She loved watching her cherished New York Yankees and routing against Dad’s Red Sox. She loved beating everyone at Yahtzee and sometimes snuck an extra roll. She was a very proud homemaker, keeping a clean and orderly house, but most of all she excelled at being a mom, a grammie, and a wife.

She is survived by her three children, Tamara, and husband John; Lindon and wife Stayce; and Kelly and husband David, as well as 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind three sisters, Laurel, Beth, and Sheri, and three brothers, Wayne, Rodney, and Chuckie. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Frank, sister Sandra, and brothers, Larry and Pat.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Monday afternoon, October 24, 2016 at 4:30 at the Madison Church at 53 Conway Road in Madison. A reception will follow at the dining room of the Silver Lake Landing, Village Road, Silver Lake.
