Longtime nurse at Huggins Hospital

WOLFEBORO — Judith E. (Balcom) Fischer died suddenly on May 6, 2017.

Born in Rochester in 1948, she lived most of her life in Wolfeboro, NH. Judy graduated from St. Joseph’s Nursing School in Nashua and worked as a Registered Nurse at Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, NH and the Veterans Hospital in Manchester, NH for many years.

She has two sisters, Jane Ridings and her husband, David, and Lynne Urquhart and her husband, Jeff, as well as nieces and nephews.

Judy had many friends and family who loved her. Her passion was helping and taking care of the people around her.

She survived her husband, Donald Fischer, and will be buried with him in the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.

Memorial  Services will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Lord Funeral Home in Wolfeboro, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans Home in Tilton.
