Laurence R. Davis Jr., 52, of Tuftonboro, passed away Tuesday, June 21 2016 after a short battle with cancer at Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover, NH.

He was born in Wolfeboro, NH on May 23, 1964, the son of Joan Davis and the late Laurence Davis Sr.  Larry graduated from Kingswood Regional High School, Wolfeboro, NH Class of 1982.

Larry worked for Gary Frank Painting of Wolfeboro, NH, as a painter for many years. On his free time, he enjoyed rebuilding and working on computers. He loved spending time in his garden and was really looking forward to working on it this summer. He was great in the kitchen and enjoyed making homemade meals out of the vegetables he grew himself.

He was the beloved husband, of 24 years, to Ann (Glidden) Davis, Tuftonboro, NH.  He is survived by his children Joel Davis of Chatham, NH; Michael Lord and his wife Venessa of Effingham, NH; Shelly Lord of Wolfeboro, NH; and James Lord of Wolfeboro, NH. He is also survived by his siblings, Jody Davis of Lebanon; Kelly Davis of Bowdoinham, ME; Doreen Perry of Sanford, ME, his grandchildren Connor Hooper of Wolfeboro, NH; Nevaeh Lord of Effingham, NH; Brayden Davis of Chatham; Jeremy Lord of Effingham, NH; and Mia Hooper of Wolfeboro, NH.  He was the Uncle to Riece Davis of Bowdoinham, ME; Nicole Peterson of California; Chris Libby of Sanford, ME; Monica Libby of Ossipee, NH; and Alyssa Ames of Moultonborough, NH and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lord Funeral Home in Wolfeboro, NH on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
