Effingham, NH

Lawrence A. Schell, 85, of Effingham, NH passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at his home.  He was born May 2, 1932 in Trenton, NJ the son of the late Carl and Dorothy (Johnson) Schell.

Larry was a graduate of MIT where he joined the ROTC.  H later entered the Air Force and served his country as a Pilot and Engineer for the United States Air Force retiring as a Lt. Col after a long career with the Air Force. 

After his retirement he lived in Effingham since 1979, during which time he volunteered as a Little League Coach in Ossipee & Effingham and was also a Ski Instructor at King Pine Ski Area, Madison, NH.

Larry is survived by his wife Mary (Edwards) Schell, Effingham NH and his children Lawrence A. Schell Jr. and his wife Sharon of Blaine Washington; Kimberly Blanchette, and her husband Rick of Manchester, NH; Carla Rice, and her husband Ed of Portsmouth, NH and Andrew Schell, and his wife Maggie of Effingham, NH as well as eight grandchildren.

At his request there will be no calling hours.  Services will be private.
