Meredith — Louise Marie Hawes passed away peacefully at Genesis in Laconia on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 after a failing health.
She was born November 28,1927.The daughter of the late Harold and Evelyn Elliott of North Sandwich.
Louise lived a wonderful life and especially loved spending time with family.


She and her husband Bing built a home in North Sandwich where they raised their three children. They enjoyed having flower gardens and vegetable gardens.She loved cooking, baking and canning with the fresh produce they grew. She enjoyed vacationing at the ocean, walking the beach and soaking up the sun. She loved traveling with family and visited many different places throughout the country.


She leaves behind her loving, caring husband of 72 years Evander “Bing” Hawes Jr. of Meredith. Two daughters Charlene Steele of Meredith. Kathleen Eldridge and her husband Jim of Meredith. A daughter in law ML Hannay-Hawes of Portsmouth. Her Brother Richard Elliott of Laconia.
In addition to being a wife and mother, she was “Mimi”. A rare specialty for the family was to have been lucky enough to share five generations. These pictures will hold her memories forever.


8 grandchildren, Cindy LeBlanc & husband Doug of Moultonborough. Karen Pringle & husband Paul of Meredith. Michael Eldridge & wife Kim of Moultonborough. Michelle Martin of Allenstown. Matthew Kipp of Manchester. Tait Hawes & wife Christine of California. Tyler Hawes & wife Suzanne of North Carolina. Suzie Hawes & Fiancee’ David Peoples of Maine. Crispin Grant & Robin Grant-Staples.
18 great grandchildren, Chris & Laura LeBlanc, Curtis & Tippany LeBlanc, Cody LeBlanc, Danielle LeBlanc, Joshua Wilson, Jessica Wilson & Brett Huckins, Brandon Eldridge, Hailey Eldridge, Kelsie Hearn, Tori Nelson, Kyle Martin, Hannah Martin, Kayla Kipp, Meghan Kipp, Walker Hawes, Josey Hawes, Cameron Hawes, Henry Peoples. Nine great-great grandchildren soon to be 11. Scarlett & Liam LeBlanc, Matthew Tardy, Evan & Conner LeBlanc, Adalyn Wilson, Kaden & Rylen Luongo, Chase Huckins. In addition many nieces and nephews.


She will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.


In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother Edward Elliott, her son Evander “Bingy” Hawes, A sister in law Betty Elliott.
The family would like to thank, The Staff at Genesis and Hospice for all their love and care for Louise.


There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 1st, 2017 at the North Sandwich Cemetery at 11:00 am, followed by a celebration of life at The Meredith Center Grange Hall, at the corner of Meredith Center road and Corliss Hill road.
