Mary Louise Cochrane

Mary Louise Cochrane passed away in Laconia, NH, Tuesday, May 3, 2016 after a long illness.

She is survived by her brother Bill Snyder and his wife Ann, her daughter Meg Cochrane and her husband Denny Redman, her son Mark Cochrane and his wife Sheila Cochrane, and three grandchildren Eliot and Christopher Cochrane and Emma Redman. 

She grew up in Westwood, NJ and attended St. Luke's Nursing School in New York City graduating with her R.N. in 1951. She married John Cochrane the same year and they moved to Woodbury, CT where raised their family until moving to Durham, NH in 1969. They also lived in Tennessee and Georgia before retiring to Wolfeboro, NH where they lived a very happy and contented life for 28 years.

Wherever they lived, Mary Lou involved herself in her community and church's numerous activities and was devoted to public service all of her life. She and her husband John lived their principles of equal opportunity, compassion and leaving their world a better place. Losing her ability to contribute to her many causes and to be active in her community caused her great sadness. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00am at All Saints Episcopal Church, South Main Street, Wolfeboro, NH.

Remembrances can be made in the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts/ New Hampshire Chapter, 480 Pleasant St, Watertown, MA 02472.
