Robert Osmond of Tuftonboro, NH died peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2017.  Bob was born on March 22, 1932 in Malden, MA, the son of the late Archibald and Beatrice Osmond and was raised in East Kingston, NH.

While attending Dartmouth College, he met Patricia Walton, a student at Skidmore College, on a blind date.  They were married in December 1955.  At that time Bob was commissioned in the US Navy and served on destroyers in the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets.  He was later recalled to active duty for the Berlin Crisis in 1961 and eventually left the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander.

Bob spent his business career in sales and business development in the water and wastewater industries at Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc.  He was a lifetime member of the Ring Club which honored outstanding salesmen.

Bob, Patty and their three children lived in Wilbraham, Massachusetts for 25 years before retiring to Sawyer Point in Tuftonboro, NH.

Bon was a Boy Scout Leader in Wilbraham.  He loved hiking, camping and campfires.  He performed in the Gilbert & Sullivan productions; he was also elected to the Wilbraham Board of Water Commissioners.  Bob enjoyed tennis, sailing, golf, skiing and touch football with his children.  In retirement he was active in the Wolfeboro Lions Club, Kingswood Golf Club, Libby Museum and thoroughly enjoyed the companionship of the Dartmouth Alumni Association.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patty, sons Douglas and Edward (Ted), and daughter Jenifer Clair and her husband Jim, and two beloved granddaughters Allison Dziurzynski and her husband Darian, and Andrea (Annie) Clair.
