Roxanna H. Stanley

Roxanna H. Stanley died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Lebanon, NH.

She was born July 24, 1935 in Winchester, MA the daughter of the late Franklin Knight Haven and Elizabeth (Carpenter) Haven.  Roxy grew up in Newton, MA and attended Colby Junior College for Women graduating in 1955 with a Secretarial Degree.

She married Donald Carleton Stanley in 1960 and had two children, Jeanine (Nini) and Bryan.

Rox was a hard worker and dedicated most of her adult life to working with the elderly.  She was a caring, loving person who always put others first.  She will be dearly missed.

Rox was the widow of the late Donald C. Stanley and leaves behind her son Bryan Stanley and his partner Laura Thurston of Wolfeboro, NH and her daughter Nini Christensen and her husband Peter, Rangeley, ME and their children Nels and Emma Christensen.

Rox also volunteered at the Lakes Region Humane Society and was a great lover of animals.  Donations in her memory may be made to the Lakes Region Humane Society, PO Box 655, Ossipee, NH  03864-0655

Calling hours will be Friday, February 23, 2-018 from 6-8PM at Lord Funeral Home, Wolfeboro, NH.  A Celebration of her life will be Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1:00PM at the First Christian Church, Wolfeboro, NH.
