Russell T. Gray, 55, of Percy Drive, passed away suddenly Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Freedom, NH.

He was born October 25, 1960 in Lexington, MA the son of the late Ernest and Anna (Brennan) Gray.  He moved to Moultonborough, NH in 1971 where he had lived at the Castle in the Clouds before moving to Wolfeboro, NH in 1999. 

Russell was a 1979 graduate of Kingswood Regional High School, Wolfeboro, NH and later attended Farrier School in North Carolina.  He had worked as a farrier for many years.

Russell had a love for horses and especially his dogs.  He loved woodworking, gardening and traveling.

He is survived by his wife Lisa LaFortune, Wolfeboro, NH, two brothers Paul Gray and his wife Judy, Oxbow, ME; Jim Gray and his wife Patti, Moultonborough, NH; a sister Patricia Kohut and her husband Carl, Moultonborough, NH his nieces and nephews, Jamie Gray, Becky Weeks, Lisa Kessler, Brennan Gray, Katie Kohut, Michelle Hart, Carl Kohut, Stephen LaFortune and Jason LaFortune.  He also leaves behind his father and mother in law, Robert and Georgia LaFortune and a brother in law Kevin LaFortune and his wife Anne.

There will be no calling hours.  A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 1:00pm at Bucky’s Restaurant, 240 Governor Wentworth Highway, Moultonborough, NH.
