Effingham, NH

Susan C. Dietzel, 42, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016 and is now with the Lord.  She was born in Wolfeboro, NH the daughter of William (Bill) and Jean (Cheney) Dietzel, loving parents who raised Susan and her older brother, Michael, to respect and honor the Lord.  Susan and Jean had an especially close bond. Susan dearly loved her mother and was Jean's primary caregiver over the last few years.  Susan could be seen every day at Mountain View Community after Jean was admitted.

Susan grew up in Effingham, NH, graduated from Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro, NH, Class of 1992 and in 1994 received her degree from NHTI in Concord, NH.

Susan was a dedicated and hard worker for all of her life.  Much of her career was associated with the US Post Office. She worked in many roles during her postal career at several Ossipee, NH area local post offices.  In addition to her postal career she also worked at Hannaford in Ossipee, NH stocking shelves and after her father's passing she also managed Bill's Laundry in Center Ossipee, NH. Susan enjoyed her co-workers as they quickly became her friends.

Susan was active in Journey Church, Conway, NH her entire life and had fond memories of many events especially attending Vacation Bible School each summer.  Journey Church has been supportive, both with their personal time and heartfelt prayers, which have been received and relied upon in the loving spirit they were extended.  At times Susan's generosity seemed to be boundless.  Along with her church involvement, she actively looked for ways to help friends and neighbors and any way that she could.

Susan loved spending time with friends and family.  She always looked forward to the summer when her relatives would visit and she thoroughly enjoyed the many day trips and activities that the family did during these visits.  Susan loved going to the movies with her friends and brother, Michael, but attending penny sales was one of her favorite activities and her friends knew that if there was a penny sale, she definitely wouldn't be at the movies that weekend.

The family would like to thank the Seacoast Cancer Center, Dover, NH and Central NH VNA/Hospice, Wolfeboro, NH for their wonderful care of Susan.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 15, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Lord Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee, NH.  Funeral Services will be Saturday 11:00am at the Journey Church, 296 E Main Street, Conway, NH.  Burial will be in the Chickville Cemetery, Center Ossipee, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to the American Cancer Society or Central NH VNA/Hospice, PO Box 1620, Wolfeboro, NH 03894.
