Susan J. (Ponton) Person, 60, of Moultonborough, passed away at Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH on Thursday, April 6, 2017 after a long struggle with early onset dementia.

SuZ was the loving compassionate wife of Edward Person for the past 13 years.

 

SuZ was born in Manchester, NH the daughter of Virginia (Mara) Noury (deceased).  She was a graduate from Central High School in Manchester, NH.  She received a BS degree from University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH and her Masters from New England College, Henniker, NH.  She worked as an Occupational Therapist in the Bow and Laconia, NH school systems for 32 years.  The hundreds of student lives she touched were blessed with professionalism and love as they struggled with their many challenges.

 

SuZ is survived by her husband Ed Person, Moultonborough, NH; two daughters, Emily Aldeane and husband Gabe Swart of Edmonds, WA , and Johannah Cushing of Saco, ME. SuZ has three grandchildren, Elise Swart, Nicholas Aldeane and Colby Cushing-White and a  sister Joan Jutras of Loxahatchee, FL and She was predeceased by her sister, Gini Young of Manchester, NH.

 

SuZ loved her pets and spending time in the woods or at camp on Dan Hole pond. Before her illness she would make it a point to kayak or bike ride every day during the summer. SuZ was a gifted self -taught pencil and charcoal artist, with many portraits of her daughters as they aged through the years. She was known by those who loved her as a playful woman with an infectious smile, boisterous laugh and a love of singing and dancing.
