Dorothy Elliott Obituary

Dorothy Ann Elliott (Larrabee) 89 lifelong resident of Tamworth, New Hampshire, has gone to be with the love of her life "Jimmie" who departed from this world fourteen years before her. Dorothy was born in South Tamworth, New Hampshire on September 21, 1934, the last survivor of six children belonging to her parents Raymond and Thelma (Vittum) Larrabee. She attended Kennett High School in Conway, New Hampshire and graduated in the class of 1952.

Dorothy was known by many names - Dorothy, Dot, Dottie - but her favorite was Mimi Dot. Many more than just her own grandchildren referred to her that way.

Dot was an incredible caregiver who loved to cook, bake, sew, feed the birds, watch the wildlife in her yard, listen to loud bluegrass and gospel music, attend the South Tamworth Methodist Church and spend time with her family.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, James T. Elliott, her daughter Melinda (Elliott) Heimlich, as well as her beloved grandson, Fred.

She is survived by her daughter Marcia and her husband Joe, son-in-law Peter, grandchildren Casey and husband Cyle, Amanda and husband Troy and Abbey, step grandchildren Virginia and Joshua, great grandchildren Elliott and Estelle, as well as all the friends who became family.

Donations can be made in Dot's memory to Make A Wish New Hampshire 814 Elm Street #300 Manchester, New Hampshire 03101 or The Laura Foundation for Autism and Epilepsy 1014 Eaton Road Madison, New Hampshire 03849.

Burial will be at the Wonalancet Cemetery on September 21, 2024. Mimi Dot will be dearly missed by all of those who loved her.
