John Antonelli
With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of John Antonelli, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us on his final journey on March 15, 2024. John leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Tangerine “Tangie” Antonelli, and their cat, who John adored, Maizey.
John was born on October 22, 1953, in Devon, Pennsylvania, and throughout his 70 years of life, he touched many hearts with his kindness, humor, and musical talent.
John and Tangie were married on November 7, 1987. After honeymooning in Wolfeboro, they fell in love with the town's charm and made it their home in 2000, where they built their life together.
John dedicated many years to the Governor Wentworth Regional School District before his retirement. His passion in life was being a musician and playing the conga drums since he was in high school. He played in several bands in Pennsylvania and drum circles in the area. John’s sense of humor was the best of all, where he could have a whole group laughing. His kind and sweet personality will be truly missed.
John is predeceased by his older sister, Carol, along with three nephews living in Pennsylvania, and his younger brother Mike, living in Arizona, along with two nephews, and one niece.
A Celebration of Life in honor of John will be held at the Abenaki Ski Resort Lodge on Monday, March 25th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, where friends and loved ones are invited to share memories and laughter, much in the way John would have wanted.
In lieu of flowers, Tangie kindly requests that donations be made to the Lakes Region Humane Society in Ossipee in recognition of John's love for animals.
