Lillian Adams (Roberts) Bibber

Lillian Adams Roberts Bibber passed away peacefully at Mountain View Community in Ossipee, NH on Monday, March 4, 2024 after a long and courageous battle.

Lillian was born on December 20, 1931, to Horace A. Roberts and Blanche M. Roberts (Sprague).

Lillian grew up in Wolfeboro and enjoyed life outdoors and training many of her dogs she dearly loved.

Later in life she enjoyed skiing, camping, fishing, dancing, sewing, knitting, baking and gardening.

In 1974 she met Orville "Red" Bibber through mutual friends and in 1976 they were married. Over the years they enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and of course always had a dog or two in their home.

Lillian became a campground host in the late 1980's as a volunteer, but it was soon found, she was a natural, and she became an employee of the White Mountain National Forest as host at White Ledge Campground in Albany, NH. After several years there, she was given the opportunity to host at an even larger Campground, and accepted with open arms. She then moved her gear to Passaconway Campground on the Kancamagus Highway and edge of the Saco River where she served as host until roughly 2018, she made countless friends from around the world.

Upon Red's retirement he joined her as host for nearly twelve years, they made wonderful memories together.

Her true love seemed to be animals. Together she and Red adopted many dogs from shelters and donated to countless Wildlife Associations.

Lillian is predeceased by her husband “Red” Bibber and is survived by her son Edward Butler of Wolfeboro and her daughter Linda Morgan of Ossipee. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great -great grandchild.

Calling hours will be held on Friday April 12, 2024 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Lord Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Ctr. Ossipee, NH. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday April 13, 2024 at the First Congregational Church, Ctr. Ossipee, NH. Burial will be in the Chickville Cemetery, Ctr. Ossipee, NH.
