Ruthe E. Ball Obituary

Ruthe Elaine Ball (Rouleau), 90, of Sanbornville, NH, passed away on March 22, 2024, in Ossipee, NH. She was born on May 31, 1933, in Wolfeboro, NH to the late Eleanor (Drown) and Andrew Rouleau of Rochester, NH. She was one of the six daughters.

Ruthe was a military wife; both of her husbands were career US Navy. She raised 5 children, all born in different states. Every 3 to 4 years she and her family would pick up and move to a new location. Upon retirement from the US Navy the family moved to Sanbornville, NH. Some of her happiest times were the years she spent teaching at the Hazel MacBrien Nursery School. Ruthe was a loving and caring individual to all she came in contact with. She had a special affection for children, and “Gram’s House” was a beloved gathering place for the local children.

She is survived by her children Paul Morrill and wife Laurel, Judith Murray and husband Charles, Virginia Morrill, John L. Morrill III and wife Jayme, Jill and husband Kevin, along with 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her stepchildren Ann, James, Dawn and Sue from her second husband Robert. Ruthe was preceded in death by her first husband John L. Morrill Jr, her second husband Robert L. Ball and stepson Bobby Ball.

The family of Ruthe would like to recognize and thank the wonderful and caring staff at the Mountain View Community home in Ossipee, NH. A special thanks to the Mount Shaw unit, our gratitude for your loving care of our mother can not be overstated. Thank You.

A graveside service will be held later this spring at Rochester Cemetery on Franklin St, Rochester NH. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wakefield Food Pantry, or to a charity of your choice in Ruthe’s memory.
