Barbara Linderme Stockton

Barbara Linderme Stockton, of Sandwich, NH passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the Taylor Community, Laconia, NH at the age of 102.

She was born in Middletown, CT where she lived for 60 years before moving to Sandwich, NH and retiring in 1975.

Barbara was a graduate from the Willmantic Teachers College which is now known as Eastern Connecticut State University. she worked as an elementary school teacher for the Middletown Board of Education for many years.

While living in Sandwich, NH she was a member of the United Federated Church; Sandwich Women's Club; Ladies Aid; Sandwich Historical Society; Friends of the Library; and the Founder of the Over the hill Hikers Club.

She was the widow of the late Lloyd G. Stockton and is survived by her daughter Shirley Johnes and her husband Donald of Hendersonville, NC. Daughter Deborah Stockton and her husband Edward Cohen of Auburndale, MA. two grandsons Matthew S. Johnes and Andrew B Johnes.

At her request there will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the Vittum Hill Cemetery, Sandwich, NH in the spring.
