Barbara “Ma” DiMaio, 72, of Tamworth, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine. 

She was born May 30, 1945 in Stoneham, MA and attended high school in Melrose, MA.  Barbara had lived in Methuen, MA and Pepperell, MA for several years before moving to Tamworth, NH in 2005. 

Barbara worked as a Data Manager Government Civilian Hanscom Air Force Base, MA for 28 years where she retired.  While living in Tamworth, NH, she worked part time for the Tamworth Community Nurses Association. 

Barbara leaves behind her mother, Emily Hubbard, daughters Pamela Havell and her husband George, Tamworth, NH; Gina Morse, Tamworth, NH; her sons Dan DiMaio, Manchester, NH and Ernie DiMaio, Philippines, as well as, her brothers William Hubbard and his wife Cynthia of Florida and Bernard Hubbard and his wife Lenore of Michigan, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends.  She also leaves behind her pet bird “Jelly Bean” which she adored very much.  She is pre-deceased by her father Bernard Hubbard.

Calling hours for Barbara will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 5-7PM at Lord Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee, NH.  A Celebration of her life will be held at the Song Bird Chinese Restaurant, 1761 White Mountain Highway, Tamworth, NH on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 3:00pm. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Tamworth Community Nurses Association (TCNA), PO Box 352, Tamworth, NH 03886, ​www.tamworthnurses.org​.
