Bertram Rodenhiser, 80, of 230 Brown's Ridge Road, Ossipee, NH passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 12th, 2017 after a brief illness.

Bertram was born and raised in Malden, Massachusetts, son of the late Ellen and Frank Rodenhiser. He resided in Melrose before retiring to Wakefield, NH and later moving to Ossipee, NH.

He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, enjoying his tour in Keflivek, Iceland. Bert worked as a police officer in Malden, Mass for 31 years. He retired from the Police Force, begrudgingly, at the age of 65.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy (Grover) Rodenhiser, together with his daughter and son in law, Wendy and Dave Rose; his son Gary Rodenhiser; and his much cherished granddaughters, Amanda Ford (and her partner Michael Reed), Melissa Ford and Kristina Schaffner (and her father Stephen) and two great-grandchildren, Colin Anderson, Christian Reed and was predeceased by a third great grandchild, Autumn Lynn Elliott DeBow.

He will be missed for his always sunny disposition by both his family and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 19th at 1:00 pm at 230 Browns Ridge Road, Ossipee, NH.
