I’m very sorry to learn of Carlina’s passing. My father Richard Cameron Skinner was very close to Donald and Eleanor Mugridge. In my youth, my father took me to their home in Tuftonboro to visit. Eleanor taught me about the birds that came to her feeders and the chipmunks that she also fed. Apparently, my dad knew your grandparents, and your mom, Carlina. Dad would take me to visit Carlina in Tuftonboro, I believe it was at her hair salon. I called D & E, aunt Eleanor and uncle Don. The connection I believe was through adoption, my father’s. I believe it was Don’s or Eleanor’s relative? in Boston, Albert & Sarah Skinner who had adopted my father as a baby. I wished I had reached out sooner to find Carlina, as I hoped she had known something about my dad’s adoption and/or his biological father. I have found my father’s biological mother. I still have an image of Carlina popping her head out the door of her business to say goodbye to my dad and I. Our family summered in Wolfeboro as my mother was born there and schooled at Brewster Academy. Very sorry in the loss of your mom, Carlina. If you read this and would like to converse, I have left my email.
Sincerely,
Brenda Skinner
