Elizabeth J. Kennedy, 91, formerly of Moultonborough, NH passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Elms Center, Milford, NH.
Elizabeth was born June 22, 1927 in Quincy, MA the daughter of the late Francis and Katherine (O’Reilly) McMillen. She and her husband had lived in Moultonborough, NH for more than 50 years and worked as a Nurse’s Aide for Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, NH for many years.
She was an active member in St. Charles Parish, Meredith, NH also in the Lions Club and volunteered for community services including Meals on Wheels. Elizabeth was presented an award from The Governor of New Hampshire which recognized her for being Volunteer of the Year. Every year she spent time crocheting to donate to NAMI of New Hampshire. Every grandchild and great grandchild was made a welcoming baby blanket, jacket and booties. She loved the water and singing.
She was an independent and strong woman!
Elizabeth was the widow of Joseph P. Kennedy and is survived by their children, Robert Kennedy and his wife Marcia; John Kennedy and his wife Lydia; Peter Kennedy and his wife Susan; David Kennedy; Stephen Kennedy; Catherine Mary Ellis and her husband Robert; Timothy Kennedy; and Michael Kennedy. She also leaves behind 26 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Joseph Patrick Kennedy, Jr..
