Thought I'd see what Dr. Cline was doing and came upon his Obituary. I was an undergraduate at Univ Md and was fortunate to have Dr. Cline for 4 courses in the early 1960's. He was a major influence on my development as a person and psychologist. I wish that I had seen this earlier and am so sorry for your loss.

Jerry was a frequent contributor at many of the house parties we attended during the 2016 campaign. His smile and enthusiasm were highly contagious. He brought our little borough enlightenment and joy.

Jerry came to the discussion we had on white racism just two days before he died. We were talking about the issues that have been causing tumult in the UUA for the past few months. As has been true for so many of the discussions I've had with Jerry, he didn't want to stay just with the current issues. He asked about the underlying causes of racism ad challenged us to look at what we needed to do even up here in our very "white" community. At the end of the meeting, we stayed talking for quite a while. I will miss his intellect and his willingness to push each conversation to a deeper level.

I knew Jerry from his years with us at UUFES. We served on the Social Action Committee together. Ever the provocateur, he would regularly challenge us to "do something". He was thoughtful, committed , knowledgeable and passionate about the issues of the day. And he was decidedly in the world right until his last day with us! A shining example of our faith in action, and an inspiration and role model for living a principled life. We shall miss him in our midst, and send our most sincere sympathies to his family on your loss.

Our heartfelt condolences to Jerry’s family. We knew him from the Wolfeboro Play Readers group to be an energetic warm, caring man with a contagious enthusiasm. It seems to me that he was animated by curiosity. I remember him having a smile and an almost mischievous twinkle in his eyes as he prepared to spring an argument on me; an argument which he might or might not have believed, but which he knew would pose a challenge to me. His engagement with wanting to know more about you or wanting to get to the bottom of the truth of a particular matter, was engaging. We will miss him.
