On Saturday December 14, 2019, Mary Louise (Saska) Klingensmith, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away at the age of 88 years. She was born on May 10, 1931 in Arnold, PA. A graduate of Arnold High School, she was employed as a telephone operator at the Bell Telephone Company until she married in 1953. Her husband of 63 years, Albert Warren Klingensmith preceded her in death in 2016.
They lived in Lower Burrell PA until they relocated with family to Wolfeboro NH in 1975.
Mary was a proud loving mother of seven children. Joan( Terry) Bodnar of Cheswick PA, Susan (Randall) Artowsky of Natrona Heights PA, Robert Klingensmith of Wolfeboro, Elaine (Joseph)Melanson of Wolfeboro, Christine (John) Chadwick of Holly Michigan, Carol (Robert) Powers of Portland Maine, James (Jennifer) Klingensmith of Nottingham NH. She had fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Mary Saska, sisters Rita Lassinger, Ethel Saska, Gertrude Dunlap, Margaret Luna, and brothers Herbert Saska and Edward Saska.
She is also survived by a brother, Thomas Saska of Lower Burrell PA and a sister, Barbara Saska of New Kensington PA. Mary has a large extended family in PA, California, Maryland, Texas, and Utah.
Mary loved to bake for her family and read cookbooks.
The family would like to thank Rev. Robert Cole, the Eucharistic Ministers who visited her weekly at her home, and Samantha, a very special caregiver. All brought joy to her heart.
After a private family viewing, a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Saint Katherine Drexel, Alton NH on Wednesday, December 18, at 11:00 a.m. A spring burial will be in the South Wolfeboro Cemetery.
