Norman Rene Poisson

July 16, 1930 - March 11, 2019 (age 88)

Norman passed peacefully at Mtn. View Community in Ossipee, NH on Monday March 11, 2019.  He received excellent loving care from the staff for over 2 1/2 years and was known as "Babe". 

Norman grew up in Rochester, NH and resided in Wolfeboro, NH where he worked and raised his family.  Norman’s storytelling was a gift to anyone lucky enough to experience it. He had a way of bringing a smile to everyone’s face with his humor and devilish smile. Norman’s positive approach to life made an impression everywhere he went.

Norman was predeceased by his loving wife Jean Poisson of 38 years and 30 year young granddaughter Stacy Poisson.   He was survived and will be missed by daughter Dianne Champagne (husband Roger), daughter Robin Andrade, son James Poisson (wife Amy), and 4 grandchildren with a great granddaughter on the way.

Norman served in the Navy during the Korean War, his determination seemed to allow him to perfect any task or challenge he undertook.  By trade he was a well-known General Building Contractor and Mason.  His passions were being a hunting guide, fly fishing and golf.

Norman asked the night nurse a few weeks ago if she knew his daughter Dianne, and if there was anything she could do to help him get into heaven any sooner. Norman was newly baptized on Ash Wednesday with thanks to Deacon Rick and Anointed by Father Robert Cole of St. Katharine Drexel.

As per Norman's wishes there will be no public service, only a private family gathering to bury his ashes come spring/summer.
