Olive Ward Clayton, age 80, of Madison, NH and formerly of Enfield, CT, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 22, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Olive was a sweet and generous woman who in addition to her family, cared for many people during her lifetime, running errands, providing transportation and tending for others. She was well-known for her beautiful smile, her delicious cookies and blue-berry buckles. Above all, she was devoted to her children and grandchildren who will dearly miss her.
Olive is survived by her children, Glen Clayton of Virginia and Christine Gatten of Connecticut, her grandchildren, Aaron, Brianna and Sam Clayton and Jacob Gatten as well as many nieces and nephews. Olive was pre-deceased by her husband, Roger Clayton in 2013.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Madison Church, Madison NH at 3:00pm on Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 followed by a reception at the Silver Lake Landing. A private burial will be held by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Madison Church, Madison Fire Department or Madison Historical Society.
