Tamworth, NH

Peter A. Casarotto, 91, of Tamworth passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at his home in Tamworth.   He was born in Rockford, Illinois, July 21, 1921, the son of Emil and Teresa Casarotto.

He had served in the US Navy from 1040 to 1960.  He fought in WWII and Korea and retired as Chief Boatswain Mate.  Peter enjoyed traveling all over the world during his Navy career.  He then worked at the Rockford Illinois Water Department for seventeen years.  He and his wife, Joan, retired to Tamworth in 1980.  He has always enjoyed Golf and has won several trophies for his great golf game.

Peter leaves behind his devoted wife of 63 years, Joan A. (Remick) Casarotto, five children, Patricia A. Gnadt and her husband David, of Mundelein, IL, Peter A Casarotto, Jr. and his wife Kay, Of Chandler, AZ, Susan J. Cavell and her husband Scott, of Harbor Springs, Michigan, Paul R. Casarotto and his wife Patricia, Of Caledonia, IL, David J. Casarotto and partner Jackie Berry, Chandler, AZ, several grand and great grandchildren.  He is also survived by two sisters, Stella Vinci of Rockford, Illinois, and Margaret Soule, Sierra Vista, AZ as well as two brothers Frank Casarotto, of Loves Park, IL. And John Casarotto, Rockford, IL.  He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Louis, Arthur, Bruno and Dominic Casarotto.

Private memorial services will be held by the family at a later date.
