Walter G. Haslett, 97, of Tuftonboro, NH passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Mountain View Community, Ossipee, NH

Walter was born September 5, 1919 in Quincy MA the son of the late Thomas and Eva (Clifton) Haslett of Camborne and Cornwall England and of Tampa FL

He worked as a painting contractor for AD Howlett Company and was self-employed for many years in painting and Cement Garden products.

He was a member of the Orphans Hope Lodge, now known as the Weymouth United Masonic Lodge AF&AM.  He was also a member of the Painters Local #939.  He was a graduate of the Boston School of Painting and Decorating.  He was a former member of the Manhattan Baptist Church and Belmar Presbyterian Church of Tampa FL as well as the First Congregational Church of Center Ossipee, NH.

Walter had lived in Tampa, FL, and Quincy, MA for most of his life moving to Tuftonboro, NH in 2006.

He was predeceased by his wife Maryfrances (LeBron) Haslett , his brother, William G Haslett of Tampa FL,  sister,  Rosemary Gill of Salem, NH, Son-in-Law Bob Almquist of Tuftonboro, NH, nephew Charlie Futardo of Quincy Ma, niece Marie Pezzulli of Riverside, RI

He is survived by his children Priscilla Almquist of Tuftonboro, NH, Eva Butman and husband Don  of Tuftonboro, Thomas Haslett of Laconia, NH, William Haslett of North Falmouth, MA, Linda Bourque of Virginia Beach, VA, Mark Haslett of Sarasota, FL, and Lisa Grosshart of Pembroke, MA

He leaves 5 nieces, Barbara Gardner of St. Louis, Mo, Sally Futardo of Derry  NH, June Husted of Salem NH, Marcia Jean of FL and Sondra Anderson of TN, 14 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, 15 great grandsons, 7 great granddaughters, and 2 great, great, grandsons.

He loved hearing about all his children and remembered them in his prayers.

There will be a graveside memorial service at a later date in the Townhouse Cemetery, Tuftonboro, NH.
