Alan Richard Hamilton, 68 of Ossipee, New Hampshire died peacefully on January 24, 2024, after a long illness with his loving and devoted family by his side. Alan was born in Montgomery, Alabama on November 5, 1955 to the late James and Mary (Robitaille) Hamilton.


Alan, lived most of his life in Chelmsford, Massachusetts where he and his wife Barbara (Sarno) raised their son Michael. Alan worked for MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA for 41 years and was happy to retire and move to the Lakes Region of New Hampshire where they had frequently vacationed over the years. 


Alan enjoyed riding his motorcycle and had a passion for American history. He loved music, his family, and his dog, Cooper. Alan was a loyal and devoted husband, father, and friend.


Alan leaves his loving wife, Barbara (Sarno) Hamilton, his son, Michael and his wife, Brenna his three grandchildren, Jack, Remy, and Joshua. His beloved brother, Robert and his partner John, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He will be greatly missed.


A celebration of life will be held at Journey Church, 15 Hutchins Drive, Center Conway, New Hampshire 03813 at 10:30 AM, on January 29, 2024. A reception will follow the service at Harley Jacks on Route 16 in Ossipee, NH 03864.
