Albert B. Joncas, 89, of Wolfeboro, NH passed away Wednesday morning, August 25, 2021 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth, NH.
He was born April 3, 1932 in Lawrence, MA the son of Eliud and Ida (Simmers) Joncas.
Albert and his wife Joan had lived in Salem, NH for thirty two years before moving to Wolfeboro 29 years ago. While living in Wolfeboro Albert and his wife were members of the First Congregational Church.
Albert served in the US Army Signal Corps at Shape Headquarters under the command of General Eisenhower during the Korean Conflict while being stationed in France.
He worked in the tele-communications field for Western Electric, AT&T and Lucient Technologies for most of his life.
Albert is survived by his wife of 68 years Joan (Lambert) Joncas, Wolfeboro, NH and their three sons Mark Joncas and his wife Sandra, Lake Winnisquam, NH; Keith Joncas, Londonderry, NH and Todd Joncas and his wife Tina also of Londonderry, NH. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Sara, Sean, Jordan, Kayla and Ashley and his great grandchildren Tyler, Jackson and Brooke as well as his brother Walter Joncas, NY and his sisters Gloria Narinkevicius and Pauline Maki, many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 6-8pm on Thursday September 2, 2021 at Lord Funeral Home, Wolfeboro, NH. A Military Graveside service will be held Friday September 3, 2021 at 2:30pm at NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
