Alejandro Velez

Alejandro Velez, 66, passed away on September 27, 2025, after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. Born on April 5, 1959, in Segovia, Spain, Alejandro moved to the United States at the age of 25 to marry the love of his life, Lee Anne, in 1985. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Alejandro was known for his infectious laughter, kindness, and his willingness to extend a helping hand. He had a remarkable ability to build, create and fix just about anything, and was the person everyone could count on. He was also an avid gardener who took great pride and joy in sharing the fruits of his labor with all his friends and neighbors. His love, compassion, and warmth transcended borders, languages, and cultures, leaving a legacy that touched lives across continents.

Alejandro will be remembered for his love, his laughter, and his positive spirit. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Lee Anne (Leonard) Velez; his two beloved children, Cristina and David; his brother Santiago; his sister Pilar and brother-in-law Antonio, along with their sons Mikel and Javier. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Cathy and Stuart Swain, and their children Jacob and Gretchen, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill and Lisa Leonard, and their children Robert and Amanda.

Visiting hours will be at Lord’s Funeral Home, 23 Club Lane, Wolfeboro, NH on Friday October 3, 2025, from 3:00 - 5:00pm followed by a short memorial service at 5:00pm. There will be a reception following the service at Alejandro and Lee Anne’s home in Brookfield to celebrate his life. All are welcome.
