Alice Briggs passed away peacefully March 26, 2026 in Brookfield, NH surrounded by family and her beloved cats. She loved to travel, sew, spend time with loved ones and her cats. Over the years she taught legal writing at the Franklin Pierce School of Law, where she took pride in preparing the future of her profession, worked as a staff attorney at the NH Supreme Court, and in her retirement fostered cats and kittens for the Lakes Region Humane Society.
She often liked to tell the stories about pirate ancestors on the Great Lakes, and upheld this tradition by taking as many trips as she was able. During her many worlds travels she most enjoyed watching birds, particularly hummingbirds, in faraway places like Costa Rica, Turkey, Belize, Antarctica, and many others. She spent many happy hours watching wildlife and spending time with her family on as many trips as she could go on.
She was predeceased by her daughter Amelia, and will be remembered lovingly by Charlie, her husband of 48 years, daughter Claire, son Ben, and daughter in law Kaija.
A celebration of life will be held on May 2, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Wolfeboro Inn in Wolfeboro, NH.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lakes Region Humane Society in Ossipee, NH https://crm.nonprofiteasy.com//9997/Pages/fundraising/#/58.
