Bradley W Eldridge passed away on January 17, 2024, at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook, NH surrounded by his nephew Jeffrey and the members of the Errol Fire Department and Rescue Squad.

Brad was born October15, 1960, the only son of the late Donald and Beverly (Blake) Eldridge. In his younger years Brad could be found with a baseball in his hand a family tradition. His father and uncle were the area coaches, so Brad always found himself on a team.  That wasn’t the only family tradition Brad followed. Like his father, Brad had a passion of helping other. He joined the West Ossipee Fire Dept. in 1976 then he became the Fire Chief in 1988 before retiring in March of 2011. After a few years Brad found himself moving North to the place he loved most Errol NH. Where there too he dedicated himself to helping others. In 2017 he joined the Errol Fire Rescue Department and in 2020 Brad was appointed Fire Chief. In 2023 Brad secured a federal grant for over $500,000.00 dollars for the purchase of a new fire truck for the town.  He was also the town’s Program Coordinator of the Food pantry which he took great pride in.

Brad was the brother to three sisters: Ginny (Teddy) Emmons of Maine, Dawn (Henry) Ela of West Ossipee, NH and Darlene (Bob) Theriault of Vermont. Brad’s nieces and nephews were his world: Jeffrey (Hope), Jenny, Andrew (Corey), Mathew (Erica) and Samantha (Dane). The apples of his eye were his great nieces and nephew: Ella Rylee Greyson Leona and Mila.

The Family would like to take this time to thank the staff at UCV Hospital, DHMC and Maine Med for the outstanding care love and compassion that gave Brad throughout the past year. They would also like to thank the members of the Errol Fire Department and the Errol Rescue Squad Brad’s second family for all the care love and beyond friendship you all gave to Brad.
