Charles J. Saucier, 79 of Freedom, NH, passed away peacefully January 31, 2025, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 15, 1945, in Concord, NH.
As a child he loved spending time on his family’s farm in Ashland, NH. He moved a few times in his young life but married his wife June Saucier and settled down in Freedom, NH where he spent the rest of his days.
He and his parents ran a construction company called “John Saucier and Son’s Construction” in Freedom, NH. He was also employed by Chase Tree Service in Keene, NH with his last place of employment being Ossipee Aggregates where he drove truck.
Known to all as “Charlie”, he enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be hunting with friends, fishing with family, working on cars, riding his motorcycle, or hanging near a campfire. Charlie had the “Gift to Gab” and there wasn’t a soul he wouldn’t spark a conversation with. He will forever be remembered for his child-like laugh and selflessness in always lending a hand to help others.
He is preceded by his parents John and Ruth Saucier.
He is survived by his wife June Saucier of 58 years, and three daughters; Tricia Jeffers of Chocorua, NH; Lauri Courtney and husband Greg of Prince George, VA; Alisa Barton and husband Dale of Brownfield, ME. Six grandchildren: Danielle, Ryan, Erica, Rachel, Breanna, Tucker, and a great-grandson Dutton. A sister Charlotte Woods of Rochester, NH and nephew John Woods of Auburn, AL.
Charlie’s “Celebration of Life” will be held at 1:00 p.m. on June 28, 2025 to allow distant family and friends to attend. The Celebration of Life will be held at 860 Green Mountain Road Effingham, NH.
