Cherylanne Westfall-Smith

Cherylanne Westfall-Smith, age 63, of Effingham, NH passed peacefully into the gates of heaven on December 1, 2020. She passed after a 6 month battle with stage IV cancer, with her family by her side.

She was born in Cambridge, MA. On October 5th 1957. She grew up in Hudson, MA and went to Hudson High school, class of 1975. Later she relocated to Effingham, NH.

In her younger years she enjoyed dance class with Mrs. Jean and playing hockey with the Kittyhawks. Later on, as a widowed mother, bringing up her four children had become her life's purpose. When she wasn't caring for her children, you could find her working at her mother and father's business Ted's Discount Warehouse. She would later become an LNA at Mountainview Nursing Home in Ossipee, NH.

Cheryl spent her down time barefoot in her garden, sitting out at the pond on her property, or watching the birds come to the feeder. She enjoyed cooking for big family gatherings and trying out new foods. She loved to go dancing all night long. She was forever learning something new about health, history, theology, and nature. When her grandchildren came along, they brought her a renewed sense of happiness and purpose.

Cheryl's home was always a safe haven for family in need. She had a big heart and so, she didn't think twice about extending a helping hand. Her kitchen table was often the spot where family pow-wows and so much healing took place.

Cheryl is survived by her Mother, Shirley Westfall, Her siblings Theodore Westfall Jr., Kurt Westfall, Michael Westfall, and Kimberly O'Keefe, Her four children, Danielle Westfall, Chelsie Salvatore, Chad DeWitt, and Colt Dewitt and her 11 grandchildren. She is predeceased by her Father, Theodore Westfall and her husband, Clifford Smith.

The Family will be holding a private gathering.
