Claire (Popoloski) Fortin

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Claire Fortin (Popoloski). Claire, 70 years of age passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 from declining health. She was born on Tuesday, July 20, 1954 in Woburn, Massachusetts to the late Albert and Ann Popoloski (MacNeil).

Claire grew up in Woburn, Massachusetts attending local schools. She married Donald Price on January 19, 1980. Claire enjoyed working with people. She spent most of her life as a waitress in various restaurants and B & B’s.

On December 13, 1999 Claire got remarried to David Fortin and they began their life together. Family was very important to Claire. She always tried to be there. She had a deep love of animals especially her cat, Newmie. Claire called Tamworth, New Hampshire home for the past 7 years.

Claire was predeceased by her second husband, David Fortin, her brother Paul and David Popoloski. Claire is survived by brothers Albert Popoloski Jr., Douglas & wife Elaine Popoloski (Souza), and Kathryn Popoloski (Shaw) wife of David. She is survived by her sister Ann Skehan (Popoloski) & husband James Skehan. Claire is also survived by her step-daughter Jillian Niro (Fortin) & her husband Robert Niro. Her grandson Cash, and many nieces and nephews.  

Please join our family and friends on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 11:00 am at Saint Joseph’s Church in Center Ossipee, New Hampshire for a Church Service to remember Claire. All are welcome. Interment will take place at the Grant Hill Cemetery following the Church Service.
