In 1941, Claire married Alphonse Michaud, and together they built a life in Wolfeboro. Claire was a devoted wife and mother until the untimely passing of Alphonse in 1976. She later remarried in 1980 to Malcolm Nash, who became her steadfast partner for many years until his passing in 2002.

She poured love into each of her roles and cherished the time spent with her loved ones. Claire was a devoted friend to many, and her kind spirit and generosity will be greatly missed.
Claire spent much of her life working in Wolfeboro, including running the Sweaterville USA for over 25 years. She was known for her incredible skills as a seamstress, a talent that she used to create beautiful gifts for family, friends, and community members. Claire was also passionate about spending her summers on Lake Wentworth with Malcolm, enjoying the beauty of the area she loved so much.
In addition to her many talents, Claire was an avid Bingo player, and she was affectionately known as the "Crochet Lady" of Wolfeboro. She lovingly donated countless handmade crochet blankets to the local fire department, police department, nursing homes, and to friends and family. Her thoughtful and selfless nature left a lasting impact on her community.
Claire was predeceased by her son, David Lee Michaud (1947), her husband’s Alphonse Michaud (1976) and Malcolm Nash (2002), her parents Alfred and Regina Jutras, and her siblings Leon, Nazare, Lucille, Margaritte, and Lucia.
