Dagny (Dube) Brunell

Dagny D. Burnell (Dube) passed away on Sept 23, 2021 in Sarasota, Fl.  Dagny was born in Montague, MA in April 1930 to Dr. Francis J.C. Dube and Helen (Dunham) Dube. Dagny was predeceased by both her husbands: Francis X. Blouin (1970) and Ivan G. Burnell (2013).

Dagny attended St. Anne’s Academy in Marlboro, MA and graduated from Anna Maria College, Paxton, MA.  She grew up in Center Ossipee, NH, raised her family in Freedom, NH and returned to Center Ossipee to live out her retirement years.

Dagny was an accomplished classical pianist and opera singer and spent many years teaching music in the Carroll County school system.  Many people will remember her as a gracious, talented and generous woman who loved gardening, her cats, and teaching the Yes course with her husband, Ivan.

Dagny leaves behind her 5 adult children, 5 step-children and several randchildren.

Dagny’s final resting place will be Center Ossipee, NH at Grant Hill Cemetery where she will be interred with her parents.
