Delores Ann Swinerton, 78 years old of Wolfeboro, NH passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. She was born on January 16, 1947 in Wolfeboro New Hampshire, to the late Henry Virgue and Velma Finniss.
Delores attended Carpenter Elementary and Brewster Academy. She met Sonny (Lawrence) Swinerton and married him on November 12, 1971; the two had been inseparable ever since. Delores worked for Wolfeboro National Bank and at several local schools in the food service department, ending as the kitchen manager at Carpenter Elementary before retiring at age 62.

When she wasn’t at camp, she and Sonny traveled all around to baseball diamonds and hockey rinks around New Hampshire and beyond.
She is survived by husband Sonny Swinerton, her sisters Deanna Penfield and Ann Davis, her brother Erik Finniss, and her beloved children, David Wentworth married to Debbie Wentworth, Tammy Jones married to Tim Jones, and Brian Swinerton married to Sandi Swinerton. She enjoyed being an active part of her seven grandchildrens’ lives; Jordan LeCours married to Courtney, Duncan Wentworth married to Andrea, Tucker Wentworth married to Kelsey, Ryan Jones engaged to Sierra Aguiar, Drew Swinerton, Shaw Swinerton, and Reid Swinerton. Additionally, she was lucky enough to have two great-grandchildren, Cooper Wentworth and Miley Jones.
