Dorothy H. Robarts, 87, of Highland Terrace, died Thursday, June 27, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by family.
She was born Sept. 9, 1931, in Berlin, NH, the daughter of Edmond and Marie (Therrien) Hamel. She grew up in Berlin and moved to Wolfeboro, NH with Dr. Ralph Adams after completing her degree in Medical Transcription where she met her husband.
She owned Wolfeboro Secretarial Service which she ran out of her home when her children were little prior to a 48 year career with the Governor Wentworth Regional School District initially working at the Superintendent’s Office and retiring from Kingswood Regional High School as Secretary to the Principal. She also was the clerk for the School Board for 40 years.
Mrs. Robarts was very proud of attending Fay University in Boston where she earned her Medical Transcription Degree.
She loved her children and enjoyed the beach, camping trips with her family, cross country skiing, knitting and cooking.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Charles R. Robarts.
Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Peter C. Robarts of Duxbury, MA and Shawn K. Robarts of Wenatchee, WA; a daughter, Monica Robarts Holm of Hudson, NH; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Alton, NH to be announced at a later date.
