Duane S. Nicholson, 30 years old of Sandwich, NH unexpectedly passed away on June 24, 2025. He was born on January 9th, 1995 in Fort Lauderdale, FL to Constance Nicholson (Franklin) and Duane Nicholson Sr., as an only child he was loved and cared for dearly by his mother.
They moved north when he was a young child, finally landing in Rochester NH where he began his adult life. After working in kitchens, he found his true passion in the trades, specifically roofing. Duane was no stranger to hard work, being called the innovator there was no task too difficult and his pride radiated through each finished project. Even still his hard work and determination never ended at the jobsite, he found peace through long nights working on his trucks, splitting wood, tending to a fire and miscellaneous projects in the yard. He fulfilled a wild side and a heart of gold always ready to give a helping hand wherever he could.
Despite the many hardships Duane faced in life he refused to give up and gave promise to new beginnings. Following his time on the Appalachian trail where he recounted many moments of finding himself, he did just that once again in Effingham, NH where he met the love of his life. Together they started their family in Sandwich, NH. His days were spent watching the kids play in the yard, cooking on the grill, taking long walks in the woods, drives through the back roads of Sandwich and calling in coyotes when the sun went down.
He is survived by his fiancé Isabelle, his three children Maximus, Dayton, and Nahla, his cousins Richard, Tisha, Richard Jr., and Jessalyn Hallinan, the men he considers brothers and many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Constance Nicholson.
Services for Duane will be announced at a later time.
