Eleanor Lorraine Broughton

Eleanor Lorraine (Newell) Broughton was born in Spencer, Massachusetts on July 6, 1933 to the late Gerald Gordon Newell and Carolyn Elizabeth Newell (Fletcher). Ellie left us to be with her husband Rob Broughton, her mother, aunt, and sister Ginnia Stoltz in heaven on December 23, 2023.

Ellie lived in Ossipee, New Hampshire for many years. She and Rob were very active members of the Second Congregational Church in Ossipee Corner. She loved to bake brownies and her friends and family loved to eat them! Christmas was her holiday. She loved to decorate for the season. It is only fitting that she should pass during her favorite time of the year. More than anything Ellie loved her family and her kitty.

Ellie leaves behind a sister, Carolyn Hale also of Ossipee, nephews and nieces around the country, a step-daughter, her church family, and many friends. Ossipee has lost a dear sweet soul. May she rest in peace.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday July 6, 2024 at 10:00 am at Ossipee Cemetery.
