Erica Regina Batstone, (39) left this world on March 30,2026. She resided in Asheville, N.C. She was a 2004 graduate of Kingswood H.S. and a Graduate of UNH in 2008. She studied abroad a semester in Africa which gave her the joy of traveling. She had her business Rising Fern Events started in 2020 and was a very successful wedding and event planner in Asheville, N.C.

The heartbreaking news of Erica's passing has left a wave of grief among those who knew and loved her. Had a profound impact on the lives she touched. Remembered as a dear friend, and a very strong woman. Erica's loss is deeply felt across her community in Asheville, N.C. as well as her hometown of Wolfeboro, N.H.

She is survived by her parents, Neal R. Batstone, Andrea (Russo) Batstone, her brother Craig and his wife Amira, and two nieces Ayla (9) Sylvie (7).

Among her interests she was a solo traveler to Africa (where she jumped out of a plane at 21), and bungee jumped off a 360-foot bridge or maybe higher. Thailand, Bali, Belize, Australia, New Zealand and more recently Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Chile, Patagonia, among any other places nationally and internationally. She loved life and meeting all kinds of people. She was great at art, dance (her passion), drumming, and especially her paddle board and spending time on a quiet lake and hiking.

She carried herself with grace and always offering kindness, encouragement to get out of your comfort zone and do something in your life that fills your soul.

To those closest to Erica, she was not just a friend but a source of light and joy. We were all blessed to have known her in our lives and will miss her gentle spirit (which we all know lives on). May she be at peace in the arms of the Father and we can still talk to her and see her in small things as a reminder of how she lived this life to the fullest. Be the free spirit you have always been Erica and be at peace.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Sand Trap Restaurant on the Golf Course in Wolfeboro, N.H. Please come and celebrate her life and be able to share some good times you have shared with her.
